A clock for every visitor, or a sale that comes round again
Evergreen campaigns start each visitor's countdown from their first visit. Repeating campaigns run the same sale on a schedule. Both work on cached pages.
How evergreen timers work on a cached page
The visitor's start time is kept in their browser, so every visitor can get the same cached page and still see their own countdown.
Stored in the visitor's browser
The first visit is saved in the browser's local storage. No cookie, and the server never sees it.
Carries on across pages
The countdown keeps going as the visitor moves around the site and reloads.
Starts fresh in a new browser
A different browser or a private window starts a new countdown.
For sites that need consent before storing anything, switch off "Remember each visitor's start" and every page opens on the full length.
Stages on each visitor's own clock
Stage start times are counted from each visitor's arrival.
Stage 1: Welcome Offer (First 20 Minutes)
Initial entry window welcoming new visitors with 20% off. The promo bar displays a cyan theme with coupon WELCOME20.
Stage 2: Critical Urgency (Final 5 Minutes)
When the first stage ends, the browser switches to Stage 2 live. Colors turn crimson, coupon shifts to HURRY25, and discount increases to 25%.
Three restart choices for returning visitors
When the visitor's window reaches zero, configure how the campaign handles their next visit. Match the policy to your promotion's goal.
Never
Once it runs out, it stays out for that visitor.
As soon as it expires
The next visit starts a new full-length countdown.
After a number of days
The offer waits the days you set before it starts again.
Repeating sales: live, or counting to the next round
Between rounds, timers count down to the next one. A bar does the same with the campaign's Before words; with none set, it stays hidden until the round starts.
Between Rounds: Counting to Next Round
During the week (Monday through Thursday), the promo bar counts down to Friday's 6:00 PM launch date, building anticipation.
Active Round: Sale Live Now
When Friday arrives, the bar shifts live automatically. Coupon WEEKEND25 is active, and the clock counts down to Sunday midnight.
Seven repeat patterns, plus your own rule
Configure repeating rules using the same intuitive phrasing you use in Divi condition options.
Daily
Repeats every single day at designated start and end hours. Perfect for happy hour flash promos.
Weekly
Runs on designated weekdays (e.g. every Friday and Saturday). Advances every week.
Every other week
Bi-weekly cadence matching standard paydays and bi-monthly newsletter campaigns.
Monthly
Recurs on a specific calendar day of each month (e.g. 1st or 15th of every month).
First weekday of the month
Activates on the first instance of a chosen day (e.g. First Monday or First Friday of the month).
Last weekday of the month
Targets month-end urgency (e.g. Last Friday of each month for payday sales).
Annually
Recurs on the same date each year.
Custom rule
An RFC 5545 rule for anything else.
Skip dates, stop after a set number of rounds, or stop on a date.
